Our process starts at The End. That’s right, The End. It’s important to know where you plan to display your art. What size does it need to be? Will it hang vertically or horizontally? Do you want one standout piece or a grouping? What’s the color scheme and decor of the spaces where you plan to place your artwork?
Are you looking for candid or posed shots? Do you envision: the classic headshot, a dramatic profile? Full body shots to show off your pet's sleekness or maybe their chonk? :-)
You’ll notice on my homepage that I don’t have one particular style because I create art for YOU and your space.
We'll chat either in person, on the phone or via Zoom. I want to hear ALL about your pet. We'll also talk about background colors and lighting styles.
Ready? Set. Go!
Be prepared for lots of love, laughs and maybe a few tears as your fur baby enjoys their time in the spotlight.
A week later we'll get together via Zoom, at the studio or at your home to view your images and make decisions about your artwork. I'll help you choose appropriately sized images for your spaces and will recommend products that lend themselves to your decor.
Now the real fun begins! You may pick up your custom artwork at the studio or have it delivered to you. If you are a long distance from us, it can be shipped. Either way, I know you're going to be so excited to have beautiful artwork of your baby for years to come.
My dog will never sit and stay. Will anything actually be captured?
A.You'd be surprised how often I hear this . . . and how often I can capture many adorable images from pets that don't hold a sit or a stay. I just need a split second. :-)
Will my pet cross paths with other pets during their session?
A.Absolutely not. The studio is very private and I allow time between sessions so that no one meets in passing.
Do you only sell physical products? I'd like some digital files.
A.I offer digital files as either part of a session or as add-ons.
What should I bring to my pet's session?
A.Bring your pet’s favorite toys, treats, and anything that might help them feel comfortable and engaged. I also recommend a leash for safety and control, especially if your pet is energetic.
I have a shy, nervous pet. Can you work with pets like her?
A.No problem! I have lots of experience with nervous pets. I'll use lots of positive reinforcement and go at your pet's pace to ensure a stress-free experience. If you are really concerned, your consultation can be held at my studio where your pet can sniff around and we can see how he or she responds to studio strobes.
What happens if my pet doesn't cooperate?
A.I know that pets can be unpredictable! If your pet is having a tough time, we’ll take breaks, try different approaches, and adjust the session to make sure they’re comfortable. If necessary, we can schedule another (complimentary) session.
