This is the ninth and final blog post in a series of on location sessions with dogs all over Austin as part of the Tails of the World book project.
Where should we go today, Bogart?
South Congress Avenue, please!
Bogart is a -- ready for this? -- Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, also known as a toller. He is a young pup and was very eager to explore all of the sights and sounds of South Congress. Our first stop was in front of the iconic Austin Motel sign.
After Bogart finished posing, we continued up the hill to a pretty spot with some gorgeous backlight coming through. Apparently, Bogart was hungry! No worries, Bogart! Breakfast tacos are on the horizon!
i love you so much
We love you too, Bogart! Speaking of iconic, how could we not stop in front of the famous mural at Jo's Coffee. Jo's is very dog friendly, so be sure to stop there on your next visit.
We continued up the street -- I was looking for light, while Bogart was looking for food. We got to Guero's, but it wasn't open yet. So sorry, Bogart!
We continued on up the hill where Bogart found some shade and took a short rest. What a perfect spot, Bogart! If you are looking for a pair of boots on South Congress, Allens is where it's at!
It was time to head back down the hill to visit the area known as Music Lane. If you're new to Austin and haven't been to this area of South Congress yet, you can also expect shopping and dining, as well as music.
Bogart wasn't interested in shopping or dining or even music, but he did enjoy peeking at us from around the corner of a building. You are so funny, Bogart!
We came across a green "wall." What happens when you combine a reddish dog like Bogart with a green background? Magic!
This was the perfect color combination!
There was one more stop to make, and that was on some steps in front of some purple heart. Bogart, now it's time for tacos!
